Achein Center for Lifelong Education, Research and Cultural Exchange

Breaking ground in spring 2006, the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) will provide education and service to indigenous peoples of all ages through the development of the Achein Center for Lifelong Education, Research and Cultural Exchange (CLE). The name, Achein (pronounced a-chin), was a gift to IAIA from the Cochiti people and is a descriptive and literal term in the Keres Pueblo language that means, “a place where knowledge is shared.
