Dear Friends,

We are happy and proud to announce that Dr. Robert G. Martin has accepted the position of President of the Institute of American Indian Arts. He is excited to begin his duties here on campus. He will officially begin July 1.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the Search Committee for their hard work, serious discussions and committment to the search process. We also want to thank the IAIA community who came to hear the candidates speak in early May. We appreciate all the efforts people made to be involved with the process.

You are aware of Dr. Martin's credentials. He enjoys a sterling reputation in education. A visionary leader, a problem solver, strategic thinker and committed to excellence--- all qualities that are treasured at IAIA.

Dr. Martin and his wife Luci will be at graduation. Please join us in welcoming both of them into our IAIA family.

Warmest wishes,

IAIA Board of Trustees, IAIA Presidential Search Committee
