Mark Herndon is a faculty member in Studio Arts, specializing in 3D media.  He is particularly well known for his work in metals.

Education

Mark has a BFA in Sculpture from Corcoran College of Art and Design, in Washington, D.C. and an MFA in Metals and Jewelry from the University of North Texas.

Major Professional Activities

Mark has taught Jewelry and Metals at the University of North Texas, the University of Texas at Arlington and has been the full-time Faculty of Jewelry and Metals at the Institute of American Indian Arts for the past seven years. He is a co-owner of Herndon Heald Jewelry Designs where his work has been worn by celebrities’ like Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, and Megan Fox. His hollowware work has been exhibited at the Memphis Metals Museum, featured in several magazines and shown in the book 500 Metal Vessels.
