IAIA SPONSORS PORTFOLIO DAY 2006

High School seniors, Community College graduates and transfer students, Tribal College students, and adults who are considering a new career as an artist are welcome to participate in the IAIA’s Portfolio Day 2006.

This first-ever event is intended to both introduce prospective students to the 140-acre, IAIA campus on the outskirts of Santa Fe, N.M., and to introduce IAIA’s high-powered faculty of accomplished arts professionals to individuals considering attending the Institute’s full-accredited, four-year course of study.

Portfolio Day 2006 will take place on Friday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Institute’s Administration Building. A light lunch will be served to Portfolio Day 2006 attendees, all of whom will receive a guided tour of the IAIA’s modern campus.

Raymond Nordwall (Pawnee/ Chippewa), a 1985 graduate of IAIA and an accomplished artist whose work is exhibited at art museums and art galleries across North America, will be on hand during Portfolio Day 2006, offering prospective students a special insight into the focused and effective ways IAIA prepares its students to achieve both success as an arts professional and success as an individual.

Reservation forms need to be completed by prospective students planning to attend Portfolio Day 2006. The forms are available online here and through the IAIA Office of Admissions: (505) 424-2332.
