IAIA LUNCHTIME LECTURE SERIES – FALL, 2006
Learn about Native American culture, issues and perspectives at the IAIA Fall 2006 Lecture Series. Taking place each Monday from September 25 through November 27, these midday presentations begin with an 11:30 am communal lunch that’s followed by an hour-long discussion and a question-and-answer session.
Initiated in 2005 by IAIA Academic Dean Ann Filemyr, the Lecture Series takes place inside IAIA’s Hogan, a comfortable meeting environment inspired by the architecture of a traditional Navajo-style structure.
The lecture series presenters are IAIA faculty members and IAIA Museum curators. Lecture topics range from the role of indigenous artists in contemporary society to the latest developments in Tribal College library management.
There is no admission fee and the public is invited to the IAIA campus for these Monday lunchtime lectures. For more information contact IAIA Communications: 505-424-2351
