Arte Publico workshop at IAIA

On Thursday, February 8, the two driving forces behind Houston-based Arte Publico Press will meet with IAIA students, faculty and staff to explore the possibility of launching the institute’s own imprint, to be known as the IAIA Press.

Nicolas Kanellos, founder of Arte Publico and former member of the National Council for the Humanities, will be joined by Marina Tristan, the Assistant Director of Arte Publico, in presenting a series of guided discussions and workshops presented under the IAIA’s “Intersections of Self and Space” initiative.

From 7 to 9 pm on Thursday evening, Kanellos will present a public lecture titled “Recovering the Latino Literary Past and Creating the Literary Future” at El Museo Cultural in the Santa Fe Railyards.
