Lifting the Veil: New Mexico Women and the Tricultural Myth
Twenty-nine women artists representing a broad background of cultures and ethnic origins examine issues of power and exclusion in relation to New Mexico’s purported triculturalism.

IAIA Graduating BFA Seniors Exhibition
Juried selection of creations in varied media from thirteen IAIA students graduating in 2007 with Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees.

June 15 to September 3
Norval Morrisseau, Shaman Artist
IAIA Museum is the first facility to host this important retrospective exhibition of 49 works by Norval Morrisseau (Ojibwa), a founder of Canada’s First Nations contemporary art movement. Organized & circulated by National Gallery of Canada. Sponsor: Kinsman Robinson Galleries.

Lockhart River Art Group
Based in north Queensland, Australia, this group of Aboriginal artists in their 20’s and 30’s create work influenced by their traditions, culture, environment and remote location.

The Disappeared
IAIA Museum joins forces with other Santa Fe art museums and exhibition facilities in presenting this traveling, multi-part show concerning individuals who have vanished as the result of political turmoil in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile and Venezuela.

October 12 to January 13, 2008
Natives in War
Native artists, most of them American Indian military veterans, exhibit work based on the experiences and aftermath of military service and armed combat.
