Three Upcoming IAIA Exhibitions Feature Work by Student & Alumni Artists

Dreaming of becoming a collector of American Indian contemporary art? Hoping to get in on the ground floor of a talented artist’s career while her/his work is still affordable? If this sounds like you (or someone you know) there are three upcoming IAIA exhibitions that exude the type of “Ground Floor Glamour” that translates into “Art Star of Tomorrow”.
(all 3 exhibitions are free!)
1 / The 2007 Student Winter Exhibition is built around the theme “Converging Cultural Concepts” and features art selected by the upper class members of IAIA’s Museum Studies Program. The show draws upon IAIA’s student body for its work, which travels to the IAIA Museum in Jan.
Opening Reception: Thu. Dec. 6, 4 to 7pm. Continuing thru Jan. 25.
Primitive Edge Gallery on IAIA campus.
2 / This year’s Small Wonders Christmas Show features work from more than a dozen artists, many of them considered among the best creative forces studying at IAIA.
Opening Reception: Sat. Dec. 8, noon to 3pm (Holidays Open House).
IAIA Museum Store, 108 Cathedral Pl. Show continues thru 1/25/08.
3 / Our Holiday Art Market takes place on IAIA’s modern campus (83 Avan Nu Po Road in the Rancho Viejo area) in the LTC building, whose hallways are crammed with tables and booths overflowing with hand-crafted work by IAIA students and graduates, most of which is Holiday themed.
