The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) Museum, the country’s only museum devoted to contemporary Native art and programming, is hosting “We Love Our Members,” a casual mixer to network with the movers and shakers of the IAIA Museum, Museum supporters and more. Be there on February 14 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. to link up with familiar faces and meet new ones. Museum members and guests of museum members are admitted free. Don’t fit into either of these categories but want to attend? Come anyway for a very reasonable $5 museum admission fee.

Attendees will have the chance to visit with new Museum Director Patsy Phillips as well as take in an informative slideshow about Canada’s First Nations Nunavut community presented by Museum patron and Adventure Canada educator, Carol Heppenstall. The Nunavut presentation will be given in association with the September 16 - 26, 2009 IAIA/Adventure Canada cruise, “The Heart of the Arctic.” IAIA museum studies student Bradley Pecore will be on hand to give exhibition tours. Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served and a drawing for gift certificates donated by local eateries The Cowgirl BBQ and The Teahouse will add to the fun!

For more information please call Guin White at 505.983.8900 x 122. To learn more about the IAIA Museum, please visit www.iaiamuseum.org.
