If You Build It…
New Building Transforms Center for Lifelong Education
The Center for Lifelong Education (CLE) conference center likely holds the designation as the first gold certified LEED building to be built at a tribal college. Besides providing new office space for the CLE staff, the building contains several conference rooms, new offices for student life and a cheery, larger cafeteria for the campus.
Pulitzer prize-winning author N. Scott Momaday (Kiowa), whose Buffalo Trust is housed in the new facility, spoke at the November 2009 ribbon cutting for the conference center, as did Dr. Gail McClure, vice president for programs at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, a key supporter of the Center for Lifelong Education’s programs.
