Dorothy Grandbois
Dorothy Gradbois, IAIA Faculty

Biography:

Photographer Dorothy Grandbois received an associate's degree in museum studies from IAIA in the late 1980's and went on to earn a BFA from the University of New Mexico where she graduated with honors. She now teaches photography at IAIA and during summer break pursues documentary and fine art photography projects. Her work has earned many awards, some of which include the Santa Fe Indian Market, New Mexico Governor's Award, Alan Houser Memorial Award, Andrea Frank Award, and has been shown in traveling exhibitions, galleries, and museums around the country and internationally. Dorothy also owns a photography gallery and studio in Corrales, New Mexico.

Teaching Statement:

"IAIA provides such a rich, diverse group of students, faculty, and staff! It is turly one of the most exciting and enriching places to teach. My hope is that I can provide the technical and creative guidance to enrich the students lives in that they can realize their goals and dreams as photographers and artists."
