CONSTITUTION DAY AT IAIA

 

Constitution Day – September 20, 2007

The Institute of American Indian Arts hosted its third annual Constitution Day on September 21, 2007 at the Library Technology Center Auditorium on campus. Professor Steve Fadden, Mohawk and National Endowment for Humanities (NEH) Scholar in Residence, gave a presentation on the U.S. Constitution and its impact on Indians followed by a brief discussion.

Professor Pearl Sunrise was also honored for being a recipient of the 2007 Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA) Lifetime Achievement Award by Dean Ann Filemyr and Professor Steve Wall, Indigenous Liberal Studies Chair.
