INITIATION 2012 BFA Student Exhibition

April 14 – May 10, 2012

Each year, the Institute of American Indian Arts BFA graduating students from all visual art disciplines present their work in a curated group exhibition that highlights the culmination of their 4 years spent at IAIA pursuing a degree. This year’s exhibition is guest curated by Karl Duncan, Curator of Collections at Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino.

“The artist’s initiative toward personal maturity and self-reflection is momentous. In this movement, challenge is met and will is manifested. The search beyond his or her grasp to push past the familiar limit creates a unique result. The ceremony of graduation is a threshold that marks an initiation into the next phase of their lives, a new and profound gift of experience.” – Karl Duncan, Guest Curator
