The Museum of Contemporary Native Arts will showcase a mix of historic and contemporary Native American work in their new store exhibit Continuum. The show opens July 3 with a reception from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and remains on display until August 2, 2009. As always, purchases from the store benefit the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts.
Local artists Larry Phillips (Ohkay Owingeh) and Rita Iringan bring their mixed media creations and sculpture to represent the more recent end of the continuum, while historic pottery, jewelry, bead work, baskets and Navajo rugs will represent creations from the past.
