| The Native Eyes Distance Learning Program could not have been established without the support of a number of America's top Foundations and grant agencies. We gratefully acknowledge significant funding from the W.M. Keck Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, NASA/AIHEC,and Americans for the Arts.

"Art not only reflects cultural change but helps to guide its course into the future. It seems to me that this reciprocal relationship between art and culture lies at the heart of the new curriculum proposed by the Native Eyes Project, and I am pleased to support it."
Lloyd Kiva New (Cherokee) (1916-2002)
President Emeritus, IAIA

"The three online Native Eyes Courses that Ive taken have been absolutely the best courses Ive ever had in Native American cultures, and some of the best courses anywhere. The courses exceeded my expectations by far. Ive gained a great deal of knowledge and insight into Native American thought and lifeways. The course work is very informative and well organized, and the instructors are extremely well prepared and helpful. I would recommend these courses to everyone"
Janet Kierstead - Massachusetts Secondary School Teacher, Native Eyes Student
"The times are propitious, the opportunity great, and the challenge both exciting and daunting, for indigenous educational initiatives like this one. The Native Eyes Online Learning Program part of a new "community building" process, that will open new options, but, perhaps paradoxically, will also incorporate time-honored traditional institutions and values."
Dr.
Dave Warren (Tewa, Santa Clara Pueblo)
Former
Acting President IAIA.

"As the only higher education institution devoted to the arts of Native North America, IAIA is uniquely qualified to offer online courses on the culture, history and dynamism of native communities. Please join me in welcoming this most ambitious interdisciplinary endeavor to our school's legacy of artistic experimentation and accomplishment."

Warrior (Otoe-Missouria)
Former President (1998-2005), Institute of American Indian Arts
