Com-Center

Here are several chanels through which you can contact and stay in touch with other IPKC students either on or off campus. These chanels are part of the Blackboard course shell for IPKC. We believe that both formal and informal communication with other students and staff is a very important part of the learning process.

Live Chat (or Synchronous mode) brings people together in 'real' time. Enter the Blackboard "Virtual Classroom" to communicate with fellow students and faculty in real time.

The Discussion Board (or Asynchronous mode) facilitates communication between individuals and the entire class. Unlike a private email, everyone registered in the IPKC course can see postings on the discussion board.

Group pages are a discussion board area that is set aside for you and a few fellow students who will be working on projects together. Your instructor may assign you to a group; as a rule you cannot see the pages of other groups.

A student Email Directory is a list of e-contact information for students enrolled in the course. You will find this in the Blackboard "send E-mail" function. Use this to send a private email to any of your fellow students.
